Our Vision stems from the values of athletics
Athletics is made up of values that encapsulate an awareness of the future, understood as a common social duty, that of sustainable development in the harmonization of economic growth, social inclusion and environmental protection. Because we believe that the lives of all of us depend on these values.
Our slogan, “Your Sport for Life,” is an exhortation to that charged, urgent, challenging and social duty. The term athletics comes from the Greek word athlos, which means fight and combat.
Inherent in the athlete is a sense of the struggle for life.

Our commitment to the environment during the Roma 2024 European Athletics Championships:
- 01. We limit plastic with the supply of water bottles and special water dispensers, and with bio disposable and compostable tableware
- 02. We limit paper consumption by providing as much information online as possible
- 03. Differentiated waste collection
- 04. At least 30% of the energy we will use will come from renewable sources
